Author's note

Barbed Wire font by Swfte International is a free decorative display typeface that looks like it’s been twisted from real strands of jagged metal. Each letter is stitched together with sharp points and tight angles, giving your words a scraped, scratched texture that practically vibrates with tension. The forms stay surprisingly readable, so you get all the menace and grit without losing the message.

Using Barbed Wire, you can brand haunted attractions, horror posters, heavy metal flyers, protest graphics, dystopian game titles, and gritty book covers with one unmistakable voice. This free font works best in large sizes where every barb shows; back it up with a clean, neutral sans serif for body text to keep layouts strong and legible.
