Author's note

Beirut Sugar 3 font by Tommy Cary is a free distorted display font, a dripping, jagged typeface that twists every letter into a shard of inky graffiti. Strokes bend and buckle like heat-warped metal, with chunky black shapes that almost melt into each other, giving words a chaotic, hand-scrawled intensity. Within the Beirut Sugar family, this 3 cut pushes the style to its most unruly, making text feel raw, underground, and slightly dangerous.

Using Beirut Sugar 3, your titles don’t just speak—they snarl. This free font works beautifully for horror posters, underground gig flyers, experimental album covers, club visuals, zines, and edgy video title cards where legibility can take a back seat to attitude. For balance, pair it with a very simple sans serif set small and clean, letting Beirut Sugar 3 handle the loud, oversized headline moments.
