Berthold Mainzer Fraktur UNZ1A by Peter Wiegel is a free blackletter font with the sharp, ceremonial look of traditional Fraktur. Strong thick-thin contrast shapes the letters. Sweeping curves meet pointed joins and split strokes, producing a dark but lively silhouette.
Historical and fantasy themes suit its old-world forms, particularly in book covers and period posters. The dramatic lettering can also turn brewery packaging or event graphics into something resembling a carved tavern sign. It is most convincing when a project needs an unmistakably Germanic blackletter title.
