Author's note

Big Log font by Tommy Cary is a free handwritten typeface that looks like it’s been scrawled in the margins of a well‑worn notebook. The line is thin, a little shaky, and slightly uneven, giving every word a loose, unfiltered energy. Letters stretch and sag in different directions, so your text feels spontaneous and human, as if it’s been dashed off in one go with a scratchy marker.

Using Big Log, you can bring that raw, diary-page honesty to zines, indie posters, album art, comics lettering, YouTube thumbnails, sticker designs, and personal blog graphics. This free font shines when you keep it big and bold, then anchor it with a simple sans-serif for captions or body copy.
