Author's note

BN-Snake font by Ben Nathan is a free distorted display typeface that looks like it’s been poured onto the page and left to ooze into shape. Each letter swells and narrows with a liquid, venomous energy, as if the whole word is mid-transformation. The inky, irregular silhouettes feel hand-spilled rather than drawn, giving headlines a wild, unpredictable edge that still reads clearly at larger sizes.

Using BN-Snake, you can push horror posters, underground gig flyers, game titles, zines, streetwear branding, and Halloween packaging into deliciously unsettling territory. This free font works best when it has room to breathe—use it big, keep the copy short, and pair it with a plain, sturdy sans serif to handle body text or small details.
