Author's note
Bootleg font by Patrick Broderick is a free, blobby headline face with thick, wobbly strokes that feel poured rather than drawn. The rounded silhouettes and uneven rhythm give it a loose, handmade energy that still holds together in a solid word shape, perfect when you want lettering that looks loud but friendly.
This free font works best at large sizes where its chunky forms and soft corners can really show. Bootleg shines on gig posters, zines, skate or streetwear graphics, album covers, party flyers, packaging, and playful social media visuals. Pair it with a clean, neutral sans serif for body text to keep layouts readable while the title does the shouting.
