Author's note

Broken Robot font by Yellowyellow is a free bitmap pixelated font that looks like it crawled straight out of a glitched arcade cabinet. Each letter is chunky and jagged, with irregular, “broken” edges that keep the blocky forms from feeling stiff. The result is a crunchy, low-res texture that still reads cleanly, giving your layouts an intentional glitchy attitude instead of a sloppy mess.

Using Broken Robot, you can give retro game menus, indie title screens, streaming overlays, zines, stickers, and chiptune album covers a warped digital personality that feels both nostalgic and mischievous. This free font shines at larger sizes where its pixel wobble really shows; pair it with a plain monospaced sans for body text to let the weirdness stay in the spotlight.
