Broken Type, by Galdino Otten, is a free eroded display font with a rough, fractured texture that feels chipped straight out of old painted signage. The letters are heavy and compact, but the real hook is the web of cracks running through them, giving the font a battered, weathered voice rather than a clean geometric one.
It makes sense anywhere you want that damaged surface to do the talking: poster headlines, album covers, horror titles, skate graphics, and distressed brand marks. As a free font, it is especially handy for short phrases, title cards, and bold cover lines where those broken interiors can carry the mood on their own.
