Author's note

Brushcut font by John Martz, Robotic Attack Fonts, is a free brush typeface with the punchy swagger of hand-painted signage. The letters look as if they’ve been hacked out with a loaded, slightly frayed brush—thick strokes, blunt corners, and just enough wobble to feel human. It’s bold and inky without turning messy, so you get that raw, DIY attitude while the word shapes stay easy to read at a glance.

Using Brushcut, you can give gig posters, comic titles, skateboard graphics, zines, YouTube thumbnails, and snack or streetwear packaging a loud, energetic headline voice. This free font shines when it’s big and unapologetic, where the chunky forms and uneven rhythm can really breathe. Pair Brushcut with a clean condensed sans serif for supporting text to let its rough-edged personality take center stage.
