Author's note

Chalkpat by Abracadabra is a free distressed brush font with broad, looping strokes and an aggressively worn surface. Ragged edges, scattered flecks, and dry gaps give the letters the look of ink dragged across rough paper, with enough variation to feel handmade rather than stamped.

Its grunge and punk associations make it a convincing choice for gig posters, album artwork, and skate merchandise. The broken brushwork can become part of a gritty visual theme, echoing photocopied textures, spray marks, or weathered print. It can also lend handmade packaging and independent film title cards a raw, physical quality that cleaner brush lettering would lose.
