Author's note

ChangChang font by Daniel Gauthier is a free Chinese decorative typeface that slashes across the page like wet ink thrown from a brush. Its jagged strokes, sharp angles, and rough edges create a wild, kinetic rhythm that suggests martial arts posters, neon alleys, and hand-painted street banners. Letters feel carved and torn rather than drawn, giving headlines a raw, gritty energy that instantly signals “East‑inspired” with a rebellious twist.

Using ChangChang, your titles jump out on event flyers, martial arts schools’ branding, restaurant menus, game logos, YouTube thumbnails, and comic or manga covers. This free font works best big and bold, with plenty of breathing room so the spiky silhouettes stay legible. Pair it with a clean, neutral sans serif for body text to keep the chaotic, inky personality of ChangChang focused where it belongs—on the main message.
