Author's note

Chapultepec font by Joanne W. Kline is a free decorative Mexican typeface. Its bold, blocky forms are carved into tight right angles and stepped spirals, echoing stone mosaics and sun‑baked ziggurats. The letters feel solid and architectural, yet the tiny pixel-like edges give them a tactile, handcrafted buzz that jumps off the page or screen.

Using Chapultepec, you get instant cultural flair for restaurant branding, fiesta or Day of the Dead posters, travel postcards, packaging, event signage, and eye-catching social graphics. This free font works best at larger sizes, where the intricate square curls and stacked strokes can really breathe. Pair it with a clean, neutral sans serif for body copy to keep layouts readable while Chapultepec takes center stage.
