Author's note
Cloister is a sans serif that pays homage to a plethora of typefaces. Its mostly inspired by the closed counters of Genzsch and Heyse's Lapidar, and its underlying structure borrows from popular neo-grotesks, and fonts designed for legibility on the screen.
The name Cloister refers to the typefaces closed off anatomy, and it also refers to its origins. It was created during the Corona Virus Lockdown.
