Combat Book by Vladimir Nikolic is a free retro blackletter-stencil display font with heavy, poster-like caps and sharp cut-in gaps that make the letters feel carved and modular at once. The repeated split joins and blocky arches keep the mood old-world and martial, but the silhouette stays bold and graphic rather than ornate.
It works well for book covers, brewery labels, event posters, game title cards, and merch graphics where a free font needs a historic edge without drifting into delicate Gothic detail. The compact, emphatic caps also suit short headlines and monograms, because the broken shapes create strong rhythm even in a few letters.
