Author's note

Cratch font by Boogie Jack is a free handwritten script typeface. Its tall, wiry letters look like they’ve been scratched onto paper with a slightly dry pen, giving each word a restless, jittery energy. The strokes wobble just enough to feel human and a bit eerie, making even a single word look like a note torn from a sketchbook or an old journal.

This free font shines on Halloween invites, zines, handmade posters, moodier scrapbook pages, horror or mystery book covers, and quirky blog graphics. Using Cratch at larger sizes lets the rough, inky edges really show, while pairing it with a clean sans serif for body text keeps layouts readable and grounded.
