Author's note

Cubebitmap 12point font by Masato Shimojima is a free pixel bitmap typeface in the Cubebitmap family, with tall, wire-thin letters snapped to a strict grid. Every stroke is a clean vertical or horizontal bar, giving text a crisp, low‑res hum that feels straight out of an old terminal or 8‑bit console. The tight rhythm and narrow forms let you pack a lot of information into small spaces without losing clarity.

Using Cubebitmap 12point, you get a distinctive texture that shines on retro game interfaces, pixel art logos, techno flyers, coding-themed posters, sci‑fi titles, and streaming overlays. This free font works beautifully at small to medium sizes on screen, where its chunky pixels stay sharp and readable. For longer supporting text, pair it with a plain rounded sans serif to soften the edges while keeping the futuristic, grid‑based vibe.
