Dilys Bold Italic by Leon Hulst of TypeFaith fonts is a free high-contrast serif with a brisk, theatrical slant. Broad curves narrow abruptly into fine joins and pointed serifs, and several letters finish with long, blade-like sweeps.
Magazine covers benefit from its dramatic movement. It also suits perfume packaging, restaurant branding, and event posters with an elegant but unconventional edge. Those sweeps can echo ribbons or fabric folds in artwork, making the lettering part of the image rather than a caption.
