Author's note

Diodos font by Joakim Kihlström is a free digital display typeface that turns every letter into a grid of tiny diode-like circles, some inked in solid black and others left as clean white apertures. The result feels like a glowing LED ticker or a retro synth equalizer, with a steady, mechanical rhythm that still reads clearly when scaled up. It’s bold, tactile, and slightly hypnotic, as if your text is pulsing through a circuit board.

Using Diodos, you can give posters, tech event graphics, electronic music covers, arcade-inspired logos, festival wayfinding, motion graphics, and sci‑fi title cards a sharp, electronic edge. This free font shines when used large, where each dot stays crisp and distinct, and it pairs well with a plain geometric sans set small for supporting text.
