Author's note

DISCOBOX font by Dimitris Kolyris @ pOPdOG fONTS is a free distorted display typeface that looks like sound trapped inside thick black circles. Each letter is pressed into a chunky ring, sliced by vertical gaps that pulse like strobes on a dance floor, giving the text a vibrating, audio-visual rhythm. The inky weight and compact spacing create a dense, club-ready mark even before you add color or motion.

Using DISCOBOX, you can shout headlines on club flyers, rave posters, electronic music event branding, DJ logos, album covers, and loud YouTube thumbnails. This free font works best when it’s huge and bold, letting the circular forms and slits create their own light-show across the page. For supporting text, pair it with a simple condensed sans serif and keep that secondary type smaller and quieter, so DISCOBOX can handle the noise.
