Author's note

Encounter font by WhoAmI Design is a free decorative display typeface that looks like a signal pulsing from a retro sci‑fi console. Each character sits inside a rigid white frame, held up by black vertical bars that feel like antennae or landing gear, while the rounded forms inside keep it readable. The overall effect is stark, rhythmic, and slightly alien, as if your headline were marching across the screen of an old space shooter.

Using the Encounter font, your titles snap into a bold grid that instantly says arcade, tech, or secret experiment. This free font shines on sci‑fi posters, game splash screens, event flyers, YouTube thumbnails, album covers, and bold website hero text. Keep it large so the boxed silhouettes stay crisp, and pair it with a clean, neutral sans serif for body copy to let those strange, framed letters do the talking.
