Author's note

Epilog font by Tom Murphy 7 is a free eroded display typeface with the soft, inky wobble of letters drawn too quickly on cheap paper. The shapes are chunky and rounded, but the edges look slightly melted and scuffed, giving it a scruffy, comic-book energy rather than harsh grunge. Its bouncy rhythm pulls the eye along, making even short words feel loud, offbeat, and a bit mischievous.

Using Epilog, you can give gig posters, zines, indie game titles, horror-comedy graphics, Halloween flyers, and quirky YouTube thumbnails a bold, handmade voice. This free font loves big sizes where its rough outline and blobby counters can really show. It works beautifully when paired with a clean, understated sans-serif for supporting text, letting Epilog handle the noisy headlines while the rest of the layout stays crisp and readable.
