Author's note

Exmouth font by Christine Mauerkirchner and Rainer Grunert is a free calligraphic script typeface that captures the feel of a fast, confident hand on smooth stationery. The sweeping capitals, long tails, and slightly compressed rhythm pull words into elegant ribbons of ink, giving even short names and phrases a sense of ceremony. It has a polished, old-world charm without feeling stuffy, so it slips naturally into both classic and more modern layouts.

Using Exmouth, this free font shines on wedding invitations, save-the-dates, boutique logos, perfume packaging, menus, book covers, and social media quote cards. The flowing forms stay legible at larger sizes where the curves can really breathe. For a balanced layout, pair Exmouth with a clean sans serif for body text and let this script handle names, headings, and key flourishes.
