Author's note

Faded MovieStar font by Mr.Fisk Inversions is a free decorative eroded display typeface. Its thick, blobby shapes look like old cinema letters that have melted under the projector lamp—edges softened, ink eaten away, but still bold and legible. The irregular holes and worn patches give every word a ghosted, screen-burned texture that feels raw and cinematic rather than neat or polished.

Using Faded MovieStar instantly adds a moody, retro-grunge flavor to film posters, thriller or horror titles, album covers, underground event flyers, game logos, and social media graphics. This free font works best in big sizes where the inky erosion can really breathe; pair it with a clean geometric sans for body text to keep things readable while the headline steals the show.
