Author's note

Fairfax Serif, created by Rebecca Bettencourt, is a free high-contrast pixel serif with an unusually assertive profile. Broad dark strokes meet hairline-thin joins, and irregular notches give familiar serif shapes a sharp electronic edge.

Retro computing and arcade themes are the clearest match for its severe light-dark pattern. It suits game title screens, technology posters, album covers, and event graphics. In interface-inspired artwork, the lettering can become part of the display itself.
