Author's note

Fayettenam font by Tommy Cary is a free eroded display font that looks like it’s been dragged through mud and shrapnel. Blocky, rigid letters are torn open with vertical claw marks and sprayed with gritty speckles, giving every word a raw, battle-scarred edge. It feels loud, distressed, and a little dangerous—perfect when you want your message to look like it survived something.

Using Fayettenam, headlines slam onto the page with a noisy, worn texture that grabs attention from across the room. This free font works beautifully for band posters, war or military-themed graphics, horror titles, extreme sports branding, game logos, and gritty protest flyers. Set it big and bold, then pair it with a clean, neutral sans serif for body text so the chaos stays where it belongs: in the headline.
