Fertigo by Jos Buivenga is a free calligraphic serif font with broad, gently modulated strokes and an easy handwritten flow. Rounded forms, softly tapered ends, and lively upward sweeps keep the lettering refined but never stiff or overly formal.
Book covers are a particularly good setting for its literary, personable shapes, especially in fiction or essays with a warm editorial voice. It also fits invitations and artisan food packaging.
