Author's note

Fluid Light font by Samy Halim is a free eroded serif typeface that looks like it’s been pulled from a weathered letterpress drawer. Tall, narrow letters with straight backs and softly flared ends feel both literary and slightly haunted, while the rough, inky edges add a tactile, printed-on-rough-paper texture. The spacing is airy enough that even with all that grit, words stay legible and elegant rather than messy.

Using Fluid Light, you can give book covers, poster headlines, album art, café menus, zines, and boutique branding an instant old-world patina without extra Photoshop work. This free font shines when set large, letting the distressed details breathe; pair it with a clean geometric sans for body text to sharpen the contrast between rough and refined.
