Author's note

GassyGaut font by J.F.Y. Daniel Gauthier is a free eroded display font that looks like chunky ink bubbles with letters punched out of them. Each glyph sits in a blobby, irregular cloud, with fuzzy edges that feel splattered and a little gross in the best way-somewhere between slime, smoke, and chewed bubble gum. It’s loud, messy, and instantly grabs the eye, especially in big, in-your-face titles.

Using GassyGaut, you can give gig posters, Halloween flyers, horror-comedy titles, kids’ “gross-out” party invites, stickers, and YouTube thumbnails a wild, gooey personality. This free font works best when it’s huge and bold, with plenty of breathing room around the shapes. For supporting text, pair it with a simple, clean sans serif so the blobby letter clouds stay the star of the design.
