Author's note
Geometric Petras font by Paulo W is a free eroded display typeface that looks like it’s been dragged across concrete and stamped back onto the page. Heavy, blocky shapes are chewed away by dense speckling, so each letter feels both solid and crumbling at the same time. The texture is gritty and almost static-like, giving headlines a raw, distressed energy that feels more like street art than clean digital type.
Using Geometric Petras, you can roughen up posters, album covers, zines, horror titles, protest graphics, and bold social media banners without needing extra texture overlays. This free font works best at large sizes where the grainy details can breathe; pair it with a plain, modern sans for body text to keep layouts readable while the eroded letters do the shouting.
