Author's note

Gotohellvetica Normal, designed by Sander Kessels in 1993, is a free eroded display font with blunt, heavy sans serif forms. Deep bites and sharp splinters break into the letter edges, turning an otherwise sturdy grotesk into something abrasive and damaged.

Posters are its strongest medium, especially for punk shows, underground events, and confrontational editorial campaigns. It also suits music merchandise and record packaging. The torn contours can echo ripped paper, photocopied collage, or distressed photography, making the lettering part of the image rather than a clean caption.
