Author's note

Grouser font by Jakob Fischer is a free retro display typeface with a wonderfully oddball rhythm. Its ultra-round curves, skinny verticals and unexpected bends make letters feel like bent neon tubing or wire sculpture, giving headlines a playful, handcrafted wobble. The black outlines stay crisp, but there’s a subtle looseness that keeps it from feeling sterile or purely geometric.

Using Grouser, you get a distinctive voice for posters, logos, packaging, event flyers, album covers, and quirky game titles. This free font shines when set large, where its looping shapes and tall forms can really breathe. Pair Grouser with a simple, unobtrusive sans serif for body copy, letting its retro character carry the main message without visual clutter.
