Author's note

Haunted Bricks font by Manfred Klein is a free decorative display typeface that looks like chunky, inky tiles stamped with ghostly blackletter forms. Each letter sits inside a soft-edged black square, with white, flickering strokes that feel scratched and worn, like signage from an old carnival ride left to rot. The result is bold, legible, and just unsettling enough to grab attention at a glance.

Using Haunted Bricks, you can conjure moody Halloween posters, haunted house flyers, horror podcast covers, escape room branding, party invites, or retro spooky game titles. This free font works best at large sizes where the blocky silhouettes and distressed curves can really breathe; pair it with a clean sans serif for body copy so the ornate tiles stay center stage.
