Author's note

Horror Dingbats font by Letters From The Claw is a free horror dingbat font. Each glyph is a tiny creature feature: grainy skulls, lurching figures, and hulking monsters rendered in thick, inky silhouettes that feel ripped from an old VHS cover. The rough edges and dense black shapes give instant mood without needing any illustration work, so you can drop a single icon on a page and it already feels like midnight.

Using Horror Dingbats, you can quickly build Halloween posters, haunted house flyers, horror zines, escape room branding, game overlays, and spooky party invites. The icons read clearly even at small sizes, but they really come alive when you blow them up as bold graphic elements. Pair this free font with a simple condensed sans in all caps, and let the dingbats handle the screams.
