Impact Label SWL Reversed from Tension Type is a free distressed caps display font with uneven, hand-cut forms. Its broad letters have rough outer edges and irregular channels running through their strokes. It recalls worn label tape and letters scraped into ink.
Packaging suits this coarse texture, particularly on hot sauce bottles and independent food products. It also suits gig posters and skate merchandise, echoing photocopied art and scuffed graphics. In branding, those carved-looking gaps can become a recurring mark across labels and promotional material.

The typeface is monospaced and includes most basic Latin characters.
Automatic ligatures do not work in InDesign because the software adds an extra space, black in this case, over the glyph. To use them in InDesign, use Impact Label SWL Reversed and add your own rectangles behind the text.
I created this typeface after finding an old white labeled Dymo labeller in a second hand store. It had two versions of type. One was horizontal with a a look I hadnt seen before so I decided to make it into a font. I made tit monospaced and added most of the basic latin characters. The automatic Ligatures will not work in InDesign because of how the software adds an extra space (black in this case) over top of the glyph. Youll have to use Impact Label SWL Reversed and add your own rectangles behind your type to use them in this app.
