Author's note

J Random C font by Javan Bryant & Matt Chisholm is a free distorted display typeface with a wild, hand-drawn energy. Its chunky, inky strokes swell and pinch as if the letters are melting mid-motion, while the loose rhythm keeps every word looking unpredictable and alive. The result feels raw and underground—somewhere between street graffiti and warped cartoon titles.

Using J Random C, headlines instantly grab attention and refuse to blend into the background, which works beautifully for gig posters, DIY zines, skateboard or streetwear graphics, alt album covers, and offbeat event flyers. This free font also shines on bold YouTube thumbnails or stream overlays that need a chaotic, playful edge. Try pairing J Random C with a clean geometric sans in small text to keep the message wild but readable.
