Author's note

Kawis font by wep is a free cartoon display typeface with letters that look like they were piped from a thick marker or a squeeze bottle of paint. Each shape is bold, squishy, and a little wobbly in a friendly way, giving words a bouncy, hand-drawn rhythm. The rounded blobs and tight curves make Kawis feel energetic and informal, like a doodle that jumped off a sketchbook and onto the page.

Using Kawis, headlines and logos instantly feel playful and approachable, making this free font a natural fit for children’s books, toy packaging, ice cream or snack branding, party invitations, social media graphics, and quirky merchandise. It shines at large sizes where its inky, organic curves can really breathe. Pair Kawis with a simple geometric sans in smaller text to keep everything readable while letting its cartoon personality take center stage.
