Author's note

Killigrew Stacatto font by Killigrew is a free gothic medieval typeface that hits like a blast of church bells and thunder. Heavy black strokes, dagger-sharp angles, and those flickering, staggered echoes give each letter a sense of movement, as if the ink is still vibrating on the page. The texture feels dense and ritualistic, making every word look like it was carved into stone or burned into parchment.

Using Killigrew Stacatto, text naturally becomes a focal point for metal band logos, horror posters, dark fantasy book covers, RPG or LARP titles, themed event flyers, and occult-inspired branding. This free font shines at larger sizes where its layered shadows and intricate curves can breathe, while a clean, understated sans serif works well alongside it for supporting text.
