Author's note

Kingthings Petrock Light, designed by Kevin King in 2006, is a free medieval display font with the elegance of manuscript lettering. Its tall, tapering strokes meet rounded forms, producing a lively silhouette rather than the dense blockiness of traditional blackletter. Sharp, leaf-like tips recur across the letters and give the design its most recognizable detail.

Those pointed shapes echo illuminated borders and heraldic ornament. They suit fantasy book covers, role-playing games, historical event posters, and themed packaging, linked by lettering that shares the decorative vocabulary of the artwork.
