Author's note

Knurled Grips font by Gemfonts98 is a free eroded display typeface that looks like it’s been milled out of metal. Each letter is formed from a tight grid of diagonal dots, echoing the gritty texture of knurled steel grips or industrial tread plates. The rhythm of the dots creates a buzzing, almost kinetic feel, so words seem to vibrate off the page while still staying legible at larger sizes.

Using Knurled Grips adds an instant mechanical, hands-on attitude to gig posters, hardware or tool packaging, sports graphics, tech zines, game titles, and bold social media headers. This free font works beautifully when you set it large and pair it with a clean geometric sans for body text, letting the dotted texture grab attention while the supporting type keeps things readable.
