Author's note

Labrat by Apostrophic Laboratories is a free display font with rounded, geometric forms and bracketed strokes that give each letter a clipped edge. The curves stay open and simple, while the straight endings and odd joins keep the rhythm slightly irregular.

Labrat suits poster titles, logo marks, album art, zines, and packaging because its shapes carry a strong graphic presence in short bursts of text. Use it for badges, editorial pull quotes, and cover lines when you want the lettering itself to do the visual work and the layout can stay spare around it.
