Author's note

LadyText Black, designed by Mike Allard for De Nada Industries, is a free curly blackletter display font with a theatrical, storybook air. Broad dark strokes, sharp wedge-like tips, and looping flourishes give the letters the look of hand-cut medieval ornament.

Medieval illustrations and decorative borders share its pointed shapes and curled details. That connection suits fantasy book covers, theatrical posters, event invitations, and boutique packaging rooted in folklore or historical romance. In publishing, it turns chapter openers and feature titles into part of the ornament rather than neutral text.
