LMRoman10 Italic, designed by B. Jackowski and J. M. Nowacki for TeX users groups, is a free high-contrast serif italic with a distinctly bookish manner. Its narrow letters, fine hairlines, and gently swelling curves create an elegant slant, with crisp serifs keeping the shapes disciplined.
The graceful strokes echo pen-drawn illustrations and classical engravings, making the face well suited to literary publishing, exhibition catalogs, and refined invitations.
