Author's note

Maenan 2 by is a free rough-hewn eroded display font with a medieval, hand-cut flavor. The letters look scraped and weathered at the edges, with uneven contours and thick, inky shapes that give the whole font a worn, old-book mood rather than a neat calligraphic finish.

It fits posters, book covers, pub signage, game titles, and festival graphics where that battered historical note helps set the scene. As a free font, it also works well for short headlines, chapter openers, and logo-style wordmarks, because the irregular texture gives even a few letters a strong, handmade presence.
