Author's note
Manuscript, a free medieval Gothic font from SWFTE International, Ltd., uses tall blackletter forms and sharply cut angles to echo manuscript-era lettering. The repeated vertical rhythm and faceted joins give the design a dense, formal texture that feels closer to church lettering and old book titles than to generic decorative type.
That character makes sense on pub signs, fantasy book covers, Renaissance fair posters, chapter openers, and certificate headings. Its narrow dark rhythm and pointed silhouettes can frame short lines with authority, especially in projects that need a historical accent rather than a neutral display font.
