Author's note

Mixtec Codice is a free ancient-style symbol font based on bold pictorial figures associated with Mesoamerican manuscript art. Its people, ceremonial dress, staffs, weapons, and architectural forms are drawn with strong outlines and compact areas of fine interior detail.

It can turn a title or emblem into a scene rather than ordinary lettering. The imagery suits museum graphics, history publishing, educational posters, and cultural event materials, especially when the subject involves pre-Columbian Mexico. Its strongest use is as narrative decoration that recalls an illustrated codex.
