Author's note

Morioka font by Mocha Frappuccino of Lettercornerstudio is a free faux-Japanese decorative typeface that instantly gives Latin letters an East-Asian-inspired twist. Chunky strokes, tight curves, and those playful, hooked endings create a bold rhythm that reads clearly while still feeling exotic and stylized. The geometry feels sturdy and blocky, but the rounded inner shapes add a soft, inky warmth that keeps it from looking cold or mechanical.

Using Morioka, you can anchor everything from ramen shop logos and food-truck signage to anime event posters, streetwear graphics, packaging, and game titles that need a stylized “neo-Tokyo” mood. This free font shines at larger sizes where its shapes can breathe; pair it with a clean, neutral sans for body text so Morioka can stay the star of the layout.
