Author's note

Nemkoz font by wepfont.com is a free distorted display typeface that looks like it’s been scratched, melted, and dragged across the page. Its inky, irregular shapes and wobbling strokes give every word a raw, uneasy energy—like titles scrawled on a haunted VHS tape or a glitching screen. The letters cling to each other with uneven spacing, creating a dense, claustrophobic texture that instantly sets a dark, offbeat mood.

Using Nemkoz, this free font shines on horror posters, Halloween invitations, underground zines, grunge band artwork, creepy game titles, and eerie YouTube thumbnails. Set it large so the warped curves and blobby edges really show, and pair it with a clean, neutral sans serif for body text to keep everything readable while Nemkoz handles the chaos.
