New Yorkers Extravagant Italic by Vladimir Nikolic is a free retro display font with a sharp, theatrical slant. Its tall capitals combine broad curved strokes with sudden narrow cuts and deep angular joins. The stretched proportions and clipped details recall flamboyant lettering from retro fashion and nightlife graphics.
A nightclub poster is its most convincing role. Album packaging, event graphics, and fashion editorials can use its custom-marquee air to turn lettering into a recognizable part of the visual brand.
