Author's note

Obabe font by wepfont.com is a free brush font that looks like it’s been painted in thick, inky strokes and left to dry on rough paper. The letters are bold, rounded, and just a little uneven, giving every word a hand-done, slightly mischievous energy. There’s a sense of weight and softness at the same time, as if each stroke was pushed with a loaded marker that bled ever so slightly at the edges.

Using Obabe, your titles instantly feel louder, friendlier, and more human—great for kids’ projects, posters, stickers, quirky branding, social graphics, event flyers, and handmade product packaging. This free font thrives at larger sizes where its chunky texture really shows, and it pairs easily with a clean geometric sans for small body text that doesn’t compete.
