Phaeton John by S. John Ross is a free handwritten display font with tall, uneven letters and the directness of ink drawn quickly by hand on paper. Stroke widths change noticeably, and the rounded joins have a soft, slightly clumsy finish. The irregular shapes feel cheerful and unpolished.
Packaging gives this lettering a convincing home on handmade sweets, casual food brands, and children's products, where its loose contours can echo simple drawings or cut-paper graphics.
